I found this blog through Kelly's Korner and started reading...it's a very emotional and touching story of a young couple who was injured in a horrible car accident. The wife is doing fine now but the husband suffered from a TBI and is still recovering. I can only imagine the courage and strength that this young couple must have and how difficult it must be...

please keep them in your prayers, along with all the other patients in the hospital where he is at

I really wish I knew where my camera was...right now my living room has 4 laundry baskets FULL of "little kid" teaching stuff. As you may know at the end of the last school year the ENTIRE school system got a huge overhaul...all the intermediate schools were being dissolved and returned to the elementary status where the grades would run K-5 in one school and the 6th graders would move up to the middle schools...My entire life I have wanted to teach the "little kids" I really never had a desire or passion or calling to teach the older ones and last year was a test to that...6th grade was so incredibly difficult and at the end of the year-I was given the opportunity to teach the "little ones"!! I could not be more excited and thrilled but I also could not be more nervous...the instructional coach said this to me the other day..."you do realize that you are responsbile for making sure EACH student is reading and ready for 2nd grade...and some of these kids never went to pre-K so Kinder was their first experience with school..." we went on talking about my new responsibilities and new expectations and I just could not help but continue to get sooooo excited!!!

I have some work with Lakeshore for next week and then after that I plan on spending lots of time working on materials and lesson plans, and activity ideas for my "little students" that will walk into my room come VERY EARLY august!!

I am so excited but still in need of So many prayers!!

ER Visit

So apparently I have a perforated ear drum thanks to Tres diving board in his pool...

Drew and I went to the ER at 9:50 last night and didn't get back into his truck until 4:50 this morning-you do the math.

The ER doctor basically told me that he couldn't actually see my ear drum because of all the scar tissue in my ear so he couldn't really do anything other than give me a scrip for some numbing drops and some antibiotics and told me i needed to go see an ENT on monday-oh the joys!
