*last weekend we had another round of HORRIBLE weather. it rained over a foot in under 24 hours. our area was under a tornado watch for over 24 hours, horrible flooding all over TN. roads are out all over the city-including christmasville road, the main road to get to school! we missed 2 days of school because of the horrible flooding. some people and businesses lost EVERYTHING-so horrible to watch. luckily our area was ok. our downstairs neighbors had some minor flooding but nothing devastating. please pray for those who have lost everything!!
*we have 9 days of school left-9 DAYS!! it's hard to believe that my first year of teaching is so close to being over with...some major answered prayers!! so many of my 6th graders will be in for a HUGE shock when they start 7th grade...so many of them will be totally lost when they have to get to the middle school, prayers for them please!
*Drewby and I have planned our first real road trip for literally the day after school lets out!!! we are going to head towards east tn with our camping stuff and a very basic outline of what we are doing! we are going to spend a day or 2 with my grandmother in crossville and then spend some time in gatlinburg and pigeon forge, then eventually chattanooga and then lynchburg. we plan on driving back towards west tn on highway 70 and just head to pickwick for memorial day at the end of our trip. i am sooo excited about this, i cannot wait!!!!
