When Drew and I went to Nashville last weekend, we went to this cute little fancy place that Mikki and her husband took us to and mikki ordered Hummus for an appetizer.
*For the record I have NEVER had hummus before, or even liked the idea of hummus
Mikki ordered it and offered it to the table so I tried it...Holy Cow-I LOVED it! Drew did not, but I loved it!
I told my mom that I like it and that I wanted to make some so when Drew and I went out today we picked up stuff for it and made it-Mom couldn't believe that I like it or that I made it fresh----MMMMMM so good!
Here is the recipe that I got online and followed--pretty good!

Lemon Garlic Hummus
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 cups garbanzo beans (chickpeas), rinsed and drained
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Pita bread, cut into wedges
Directions
- In a food processor, combine the oil, lemon juice, beans, garlic and salt; cover and process until smooth. Transfer to a small bowl. Serve with pita wedges.
